LCT announces the upcoming release of their full-metal PP-19-01 Vityaz AEG.
LCT Airsoft,considered by many has the premier AK manufacturer in the Airsoft world, announced today the upcoming released of their PP-19-01 Vityaz AEG, not many details were made available to the public but from what we were able to gather the LCT PP-19-01 Vityaz will be made out of Steel with Polymer parts like the Pistol Grip and the Handguard, the Top Cover includes a Picatinny Rail to mount optics but you also have a built-in receiver interface on the side of the receiver to use optic mounts as you usually see in AKs.
The LCT PP-19-01 Vityaz will have around 700mm in length when the stock is in the open position and 470mm in length when the stock is folded and should weight around 3.22Kg. As far as internals go, no information is available as of now apart from the inner barrel that will have 255mm in length, but you can expect a metal V3 gearbox as most of AK AEGs use.
According to LCT Airsoft the PP-19-01 Vityaz AEG is set to be relased on September 25, 2015.
About the PP-19-01 Vityaz
The PP-19-01 “Vityaz” is a development of the Izhevsk Mechanical Plant (IZHMASH); this weapon evolved from the relatively unsuccessful PP-19 “Bizon” submachine gun on request from elite Russian law enforcement team “Vytyaz”.Like its predecessor, the PP-19-01 is based on the AKS-74U compact assault rifle, with simple blowback action, although “Vityaz” (Knight in Russian) uses more magazines and fires more powerful 9×19 ammunition which is now standard in Russia. As of mid-2007, PP-19-01 is in limited production in Izhevsk and is already in use by some specialized OMON teams of Russian police and other law enforcement agencies.
