BE-X FRONTIER ONE RIGGERS BELT
What is a riggers belt? Before introducing the BE-X FRONTIER ONE RIGGERS BELT to you, we’d like to shorty explain the purpose of a riggers belt.
Most users wear the riggers belt as a regular belt. Even though the riggers belt is far more than that. It originally serves special forces in emergency situations to rope down the helicopter or to get back on it with a winch. So, it’s a kind of rescue belt.
This is why a riggers belt makes higher demands on materials and processing than a regular belt, which only serves to keeping pants on hips.
MATERIAL & PROCESSING
Made in Germany! The BE-X FRONTIER ONE RIGGERS BELT is made up of certified, high-quality and robust materials and components.
The base of the belt is a 43mm webbing, which meets the requirements of Mil-Spec VII Class 1a / MIL-W-4088 Type 7 Class 1a and thus holds up to a drag force of 2700kg. Additionally, it is waxed for better carrying properties and a long service life.
The seams are well processed and are made of high-strength polyamide yarn from the market leader Gutmann. This yarn is used in the construction of parachute for the German Federal Armed Forces.
Highly strained areas are double-stitched. On the picture you can see that at the Velcro of the strap (corresponding the German army TL 8305-028) made of 25 mm polyamide webbing. To use the V-ring in an emergency situation, it is removed it from the strap and in most cases attached to a carabiner.
For the fastener of the BE-X FRONTIER ONE RIGGERS BELT, the proven 7075 CNC milled aluminum cobra buckles of the Austrian company Austrialpin are used. Here are a few specifications:
- Breaking load at direct strain 9KN
- Breaking load at the ring 18KN
- exceeds EN 358
- exceeds ANSI z359.1
- exceeds CSA z259.1
- exceeds NFPA 1983/2006
- ISO quality control (89/686/EEC art. 11 B)
“There’s nothing stronger that steel!” No sooner said than done! For the V-ring, BE-X only uses certified forged steel with a breaking load of 1130 kg after PIA (Parachute Industry Association).
All belts are 130 cm in length. Depending on the needs, the belt can be adjusted at the Cobra Buckle. You can store the overlying part of the webbing in the strap as shown above.
