ULTIMATE EDC WAIST BAG

Voodoo Tactical Europe has just released the new Ultimate EDC Waist Bag and sent over a sample for us to review. Lets take a closer look at this item, explore all possibilities, features and check if this bag has earned claim to the name ULTIMATE EDC.

NOTE: To select the best EDC bag depends on the personal needs and situation for your every day carry. So an EDC bag has in my opinion, to be made from good durable material and needs to be very modular.

DESIGN, MATERIAL & WORKMANSHIP

The Ultimate EDC Waist Bag is made by durable Nylon material. The workmanship is altogether very good. The trimmed edges increase the resistance by heavy use. The zippers are from a company called FS and can be opened easily and has high quality.The design of the waist bag is really discrete, flat and neutral so it can be used for regular concealed weapon carry or undercover missions.

COMPARTMENTS & FEATURES

The adjustable waist belt can be extended with a pouch for a cellphone or GPS device. The pouch can carry items with a size up to 10×7.2cm and is removable from the extention-belt itself.

On the left end right end of the Waist Bag, we can access 2 pockets which can be closed by zippers. They are for a quick direct access to keys, tools or smaller items.

On the backside of the Ultimate EDC Waist Bag a big flat pocket with velcro closure for papers, small maps or id-cards is available. Its equipped witha a flap to allow a quick access.

If we open up the bag with the surrounding 2-way zippers, we can get access to a fully velcro hook backed main compartment. On the backside which is close to the body, a fasting strap holds an holster for concealed weapon carry. Also a durable velcro backed clip for the holster is available to carry the pistol with the released holster inside the waistband. The bag is available in 2 different sizes (Small = 16×21 cm & Large = 16, 5×24 cm) for a variety of pistols.

Behind the main compartment flap, we find another hidden storage possibility in full size of the bag. Its also full of velcro hook to attach the included accessory loop panels which we can see later in this review.

On the other side of the main compartment we also have velcro hooks to attach the accessory loop panels, and an elastic band to carry, a flashlight or tourniquet. Two Paracords on the left and right side help us to grab the flap.

The front compartment on the outside of the EDC Bag, has a heavy-duty zipper pull and Loop material on the inside. By the way… all zippers are equipped with Paracords.

The Ultimate EDC Waist Bag comes with a detachable, breathable, double zipper mesh pouch, Shock Cord Insert platform and a elastic band platform which can easily be attached onto any velcrobacked area with the loop system. This equipment gives us a huge range of possibilities to use this also regular EDC or maybe also medival bag.

At the bottom of the Waist Bag, we can see two strong wide elastic straps, which can be used for a long flashlight, a baton or a similar long items.

COMFORT, USABILITY & CONCLUSION

Fully and heavily loaded, the EDC feels still comfortable at normal walking pace. But if you start to run with it, you should change the the position of the bag to your back or across the shoulder. The holster with strap holds the pistol fixed in position and is practicable.

The Voodoo Tactical Europe Ultimate EDC Waist Bag for around 90€ ($105) is a well made, modular and durable EDC Bag. The concept is well thought out and needs in my opinion no changes. Is this the ULTIMATE EDC? Make your own decision!
