Scalarworks releases Low Drag Mount for the Trijicon MRO Red-Dot Sight.

The Low Drag Mount’s precision guided telescoping clamp holds zero on every re-installation, and under the heaviest recoil. Guaranteed. Engineered to be the lightest Quick-Detach mount possible, without compromising an ounce of strength. The Low Drag Mount is the only Quick-Detach mount made from ultra high-strength 7075-T6 Aluminum. 7075-T6 is favored over 6061-T6 for its vastly superior mechanical properties where cost is no object, and ultimate strength is part and parcel of the operational requirements.

The LDM/MRO has been reinforced inside and out, making it the toughest Low Drag Mount yet. The LDM’s monolithic base employs an efficient 4 pillar design that puts the bulk of its mass at the bottom and outer edges; where impact forces are highest. Through computational Finite Element Analysis, the LDM’s critical edges were identified and contoured to eliminate detrimental stress risers.

The LDM’s precision clamp features a pair of rounded shear lugs that provide a high level of lateral impact resistance between the clamp and base. All of the LDM’s threads are cold formed. This forces the material grain to flow around the threads which increases their yield strength, hardness, and wear resistance.

The Low Drag Mount has an intuitive attachment system that will let you take it off in under 3 seconds. Unlike conventional thumbscrews that rely on friction, the Low Drag Mount’s patent pending self-adjusting attachment mechanism has an internal ball detent that makes it completely recoil proof. Streamlined profile free of protruding levers and knobs. Won’t rap your knuckles, or get caught on clothing, gear, and surroundings.
