Steyr Arms Announces the M9-A1 Pistol Now Available in OD Green.

ESSEMER, Ala. – Steyr Arms announced the introduction of its M9-A1 pistol with an OD Green grip frame today. OD Green has been a staple color for Steyr’s polymer furniture for nearly than 50 years, having been used extensively on the SSG 69 rifle and the STG 77, more commonly known as the AUG.

Now the M9-A1 has been added to the list of Steyr firearms in OD Green, due in no small part to the overwhelming number of requests from U.S. shooters.

In the Steyr pistol line, the M9-A1 is the full-size offering with a 4-inch cold-hammer-forged barrel. These pistols have achieved a great deal of regard among American shooters for their comfortable ergonomics, remarkable safety features, intuitive sighting system, amazing accuracy and extreme reliability.

The M9-A1 features an innovative polymer frame that offer shooters unparalleled ergonomics with a high grip and an extremely low bore axis that mitigates muzzle rise, and the grip angle is optimal for a very natural point of aim. On the bottom of the frame’s dust cover is a Picatinny rail for mounting illumination and laser-aiming devices.

An integrated trigger safety with a Reset Action System trigger requires positive finger pressure to operate, and the striker-fired M9-A1 also incorporates a keyed safety lock.
