Tactical Attitude is a new French based design & manufacture of packs and pouches that was formed a little over 12 months ago by some likeminded individuals who previously supplied kit & equipment to the Military. The offerings are aimed at the Police, First Responders and those who have adopted a more ‘tactical / urban warrior’ lifestyle. They kindly sent me their three core products at the time, although the range is expanding as we speak. The three products were the BKP-M (pack) Tactical Pouch (a multiuse dump pouch) and the CPT Computer bag.

All the products pictured are manufactured out of 1000D Cordura and although the current colour is ‘Black’ they are looking at offering other solid colours to appeal to a larger section of the private military market as well as some camouflage patterns. They have also recognised the need for NIR compliant materials and again this is just another avenue this young company is looking at.

BKP-M Back Pack

Tactical Attitude

As with many back packs on the market today Tactical Attitude have adopted a comfortable and recognisable design and then added a few extras. In simple terms the versatility for a user in the Police, First Responder, Private Security or Civilian sector has been thought off. Accommodating a none-utilitarian approach for one product will certainly appeal to a wider demographic and just to add, there are more attachment points to this pack than you would find on a swing of promiscuity in a brothel.

Key Features:

It has a sensible carry capacity at 23L although this can be expanded as you have multiple MOLLE attachment points across the pack.

Tactical Attitude

You have a nice large Velcro panel situated at the top of the pack allowing you to place any form of identification patches you would require.

Left & right of the padded carry handle you have a zipped entry points (water repellent seams) for hydration, communications or an iPod which can then be secured via routing tabs on the main straps.

Tactical Attitude

The two main compartments are split between the external ‘rounded’ compartment which does not have access to the main compartment and the Inner compartment which has a padded divider and is secured by a small Velcro tab. The rear compartment of the main pack is set up to carry laptops & tablets etc. and with the extremely well padded back panel is more than secure for those needs.

One of the nice features that I used on this pack was the enclosed karabiner found on the top left shoulder that kept keys and a small torch secure, concealed and quiet.

Tactical AttitudeThe back panel is well padded with good ventilation and the shoulder straps were very comfortable, combined with both a sternum & waist strap (quickly detached using side lock buckles) the overall security, stability and comfort was great.

Tactical Attitude

You also have x4 external placed pack reduction straps situated left and right on the main compartment and below both of these you have a small Velcro sealed pouch which was ideal for water bottles. These pouches also worked very well combined with the reduction straps for carrying longer items and not having them drop below the base line of the pack.

Tactical Attitude

The only point I will make and something that Tactical Attitude recognised and are addressing are the ‘plastic’ cord clips found on both the BKP-M and CPT bags. These did come loose and my suggestion would be to either glue or remove them (use longer pieces of para-cord) should you have any of the first production models. Tactical Attitude is looking at either replacing these ‘plastic’ elements with an alternative or using longer pieces of para-cord.

Tactical Pouch

Tactical Attitude

Again they have gone down the none-utilitarian route for this product. The ‘Tactical Pouch’ is a multi-functional dump pouch due to the versatility it can provide a user. It can be deployed incredible quick, yes I tried to be this quick but sadly failed, see the link to the video below.

Key Features:

Collapsible and secured using a side lock & webbing strap with traditional MOLLE attachment points at the rear.

Expands very quickly and then the shape is held in place with two fixed internal pads which easily fold away when collapsed.

They have incorporated a small mesh square at the base allowing for drainage as well as added a zipper on the lid for easy access or retrieval.

The comments made to me by a photographer was this is something he could easily and comfortably use for carrying securely certain bits of kit as the volume was very generous once opened and accessibility was good. The fact it kept its form due to the internal padded flaps was also a bonus.

CPT Computer Bag

Tactical Attitude

Out of all three products this was by far my favourite and has found a very nice place in my everyday use, including the wife’s who does a lot of commuting on trains & planes.

Key Features:

It comprises of three compartments with the front external compartment (quick access needs) set up in a similar fashion as found on the BKP-M pack. The internal compartment (laptops, tablets etc.) has a thin nylon & felt divide to allow better organisation and at the back you will find a Velcro flap secured compartment ideal for documents.

You have three MOLLE pouches attached at the top which can be used for a variety of things such as mobiles, cables & chargers and each pouch has a small Velcro square on the pocket tab for identification. These can obviously be swapped out for alternate pouches and with 3×7 MOLLE row gives you plenty of real estate.

Tactical Attitude

The padded carry handle uses a fixed Velcro tab to secure the two handles together and once combined with the heavy Velcro entrance flap means that nothing is going to slide out should it turn upside down.

Tactical Attitude

The shoulder strap is simply attached using two karabiners and can easily be removed & stowed in one of the pouches.

My only comment would be that I would prefer to see a little more padding on the internal divide, yes this adds a little weight and you would lose a fraction of the internal carry space but I think it would provide a more cushioned and rigid divide should you be carrying more than one laptop etc. Also the addition of a tab at the top of the divide just to secure the rear compartment would not go a miss, again it adds to negating any movement internally. Both of these features you can find in the BKP-M pack.

Tactical Attitude

*Please note that when I last spoke with Tactical Attitude they indicated that they would be looking to change certain elements of the BKP-M backpack and CPT computer bag*

The website is available in English, French and German and they have both a Facebook and Youtube page featuring both the new & existing product range.

I would like to thank Tactical Attitude www.tactical-attitude.com for allowing me to get hands on with their products and I am sure you will be seeing more of this company in the future.
