This custom Optics Ready Leather Holster is designed specifically for pistols equipped with various optics attachments such as red dot sights, reflex sights, or RMR sights. The holster is meant for outside the waistband carry (OWB), which means it has to be attached from outside of one’s pants. As simple as that.
Due to its natural forward-leaning cant, the holster works best when used attached to one’s strong side (the 3 or 4 o’clock waist position). When holstered, the angle of your gun allows for very quick and intuitive draw.
This open carry holster is compatible with pretty much any optics device and due to the wet-molding techniques applied in the production, it will fit your gun with an optics device like a glove. Used on ours is a Trijicon RMR fitted to an SIG P320/M18.
The holster is available for a large variety of guns/models such as those from SIG SAUER, Glock, CZ, HK, Colt, Baretta and many others. You can browse them all over at the Craft webshop.
Another high attribute of this holster is that it’s entirely handmade, molded on the exact replica of your pistol, resulting in a perfect fit and high natural retention. A part of the leather has been cut out to provide ample room for your optical attachment of choice.
The entire holster is made from premium Italian leather and its key parts are sewn together with high-quality German threads. Material and workmanship at its finest.
The backside of this OWB Optics Ready Leather Holster is equipped with a belt tunnel, which secures great stability of the holster (especially when carried on a proper gun belt).
Noticeable here is the fact that the belt tunnel is very tight. At least when it’s brand new. The tunnel is designed for 1.5’’ wide belts. Regular leather or nylon belts work great but if you like to fit it onto a thicker tactical belt, you maybe face some issues here. The potential to break the belt tunnel or to be more accurate its stitching is possible.
But it wouldn’t be a “custom holster” from Craft made to fit your needs if there’s not an option for that. You can ask them for customization of the belt tunnel through the “your note” field when placing your order. So, keep that in mind before ordering guys!
This OWB holster also comes with a steel-reinforced thumb break, which further increases the holster’s retention. The operation of the thumb-break is quite easy in my opinion and once the leather got a little bit flexible, you can open it and draw you gun in no time.
